A Sad Poem: "Little Boy"

"Little Boy"

Little boy who dances
not the drummer from the song
This one stands tall, head high, all wrong
He never got a chance

Little boy who answers
pleads a favor of the strong
but this one fails, and breaks, all wrong
She never had the answer

It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?

Little boy who reaches
not so young this time around
asks for nothing but the impossible ground
to carry her feet

Little boy who understood
all the pain and the let downs
knowing the miles of ground
would never make her bleed

It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?

Her failing and breaking make it all wrong
And who can cross the distance
To save a boy without a chance?

It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?
or the one who ran away?

Little boy who dances
not the drummer from the song
This one stands tall, head high, all wrong
He never got a chance
Little boy who answers
pleads a favor of the strong
but this one fails, and breaks, all wrong
She never had the answer
Only the dreamer
She was only the dreamer

Such a tragedy
And who's to blame?
The dream giver or the one
the one who ran away?
