"Building"
Rip out my hair
pluck out these eyes
pull off my lips
in one loud sigh
tear out my heart
and break me apart
silence the feeling
building
::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Building Wall"
A building wall
a building dam
a space stacked high by worn out hands
I cannot be
the one behind
but stand upon and stare out wide
Oh, who shall know if I shall jump?
I shall build but shall I want?
I wish the wall to tumble down
yet wish it hold it all up now
Oh, building wall
a building dam
a space stacked by my worn out hands
I cannot be
the one behind
I'll stand upon with arms out wide
and if the wall shall tumble down
I'll stay within the ruins now
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"Wall"
Beyond the stones are things I do not know
A future that itself won't be made shown
I hear the whispers behind the stones
They prophecy of all that might be known
Beyond the stones of the wall so high
A future lays that I may realize
I hear the whispers often turn to cries
Wanting me to start the climb
Reaching up and taking hold
The wall is blocking all foretold
Beyond the stones are things I do not know
A future that itself won't be made shown
I wish to see beyond the wall someday
To stifle the cries beyond the stones

Rhododendron Labyrinth
what is the meaning
of all these dreams?
whilst I was walking
in shallow streams
I learned the error
of my wayward ways
inside my terror
inside this haze
I cannot see the purpose
for all my troubling days
oh, rhododendron labyrinth
what shall be the marker?
what shall be the tenth?
I offer offerings for my future life
shall I take or shall I be a wife?
inward resolution
cycle circling
tell me my confusion
now rendering
my echoing
what is the meaning
of my nightmarish dreams?
whilst I was walking
in the shadowed streams
I know my errors
of my wayward days
inside my terrors
leave me in a daze
I cannot see my future
all these leading ways
oh, rhododendron labyrinth
shall I sleep below you?
what shall be my tenth
that I shall owe you?
I offer offerings for my future life
perhaps to end these days of strife
needless confusion
cycle circling
now rendering
my echoing
of wondering

Won't See Me Dead
sit blowing smoke
cough, and choke
I see you wasting away
my iron fist inside this glove
wishes to push and shove
you right off your sofa
I saw the future once
Call me a freak with a psychic touch
I don't give a damn much
but this -
this was different, I know
his blue eyes told me so
but you don't care, I know, I know
so wrap yourself in a coma
high in a world of your mind
I will battle while you on the sofa
sit wrapped in smoke half blind
I will put on my armor
to fight for my future
what I saw I believe
even if you can't conceive
of such things
sit blowing smoke,
sitting there broke
wasting your days
but my inner resolution
is seeking a solution
to let all this go
But my anger is kindled
while your time you have swindled
Call me a freak with a psychic touch
I don't give a damn much
but this -
this was different, I know
his blue eyes told me so
but you don't care, I know, I know
so wrap yourself in a coma
high in a world of your mind
I will battle while you on the sofa
sit wrapped in smoke half blind
I will put on my armor
to fight for my future
what I saw I believe
even if you can't conceive
of such things
in my dreams
I can't deny
nor try
so I'll cry
yet one day, perhaps I'll see
sense made to me
I will not waste my determination
he was not a figment of my imagination
the future is a destination
so stay in a coma
high in your mind
sprawled on your sofa
because you're blind
I in my armor
eyes set ahead
know that my future
won't see me dead
won't see me dead
won't see me dead

Stepping Stone
While I'm sifting through the mess and the rubble and the pain
You are out on the ledge playing all those silly games
Count the shots that you've had, line them up, stack them high
I will sort out all my past, present, future hopes and cry
They are snappin' pics, smiling free, stupid fools
I am labeling the endings and signing off for good
Call the idiots and sing them a song or two and say
This is the life that you wanted, you got it all the way
It's a lie I know
It's not all OK
Go ahead and try to pretend it
I am seeing right through this
I am here alone and lost the sunshine while you stole it away
Moved to a new home, better lifestyle, nothing more to say
Hold your loved ones close they seem to mean the world to you
I'm just a stepping stone that helped you get all the way through
Just a moment, just a phase, just someone to pass the time with
But that's OK, you can be another photo in these boxes
While I'm sorting through the years, through the wishes I have had
You are trying to be something that you aren't in a childish fad
Drink your vodka and see those stars, count the lights on the lamposts
I'll burn my dreams down, seal the envelopes and toss away the hopes
They are smiling and they're laughing and drivin' fast
It's all eggshells and lunatics and a broken past
In my rearview, in the mirror, outside of my windows here
But for you it's a haze of smoke and nothing is quite clear
It's all fine I'm sure
Pretend it's all OK
Go ahead and think you did it
I still see right through this
I am here alone and lost the sunshine while you stole it away
Moved to a new home, better lifestyle, nothing more to say
Hold your loved ones close they seem to mean the world to you
I'm just a stepping stone that helped you get all the way through
Just a moment, just a phase, just someone to pass the time with
But that's OK, you can be another photo in these boxes
You'll be a memory, just a thought, just a summer
Just a moment of a time I can remember
I'll be your stepping stone, the girl who helped you get there
And when I see your name and face on google I will not care
I am here alone and I'll make new sunshine for my brighter day
You can stay in your new flat and have a party there faraway
Hold all those people close who seem to mean the world to you
Just remember when they walk away who was the one there for you
Just a moment, just a phase, a stone you used to get ahead
And you'll be a photo in the box I'll store under the bed

Say One Word: Infinite
"Say"
it's hard to convey to you what you mean to me
harder still to find the words for these emotions
if I could tell you what you mean to me
would it change a thing?
would it mean a thing?
perhaps the sky will fall on me if I speak
perhaps the moon will forever hide
perhaps nothing at all will change anything
but I think I might try
to say
all these things I have no words to use
it's hard to tell you how infinite you are to me
harder still to paint for you the future I am holding to
but would you even hear me out and believe me?
can I change anything?
will my words mean a thing?
perhaps the world will lose humanity it I speak
perhaps the sun will forever dim her light
perhaps nothing at all will change anything
but I think I have to try
to say
something
Something profound will never leave my lips
Something brave, and strong, and sure won't ring a sound
It will be quiet, tentative and so full of fear
it's the entirety of the infinite I try to convey
and I know I have no words to use to get my point across
but if I don't
such a loss
I think I have to try
to say
everything
having no words to use
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"One Word"
oh, one word, one word
just one word
so much meaning to one little word
I have one, just one word
to describe you
with one word
only one
just one word
it's only one
if they knew, if they knew
who you are
they would also have one word
just one word
and we'd all describe you
with just one word
if they knew, if they knew, if they knew
I have one
one little wish
That the world will one day see
just what you are and came to be
just one word
that they would need
I have one, one word
just one, one little word
if you knew only one word
you would know
this one word
is
infinite

Leave Them Behind
heroes inside of the picture frames
they whisper while you walk by
and if you should ask them
why they all cry
they'll tell you you're leaving them behind
echoes follow down the staircase
and they call to you walking away
and if you should hear them
you'd hear them say
they had all the hopes stacked high for you
and somehow they all tumbled down
I was the decider and heard them too late
and the echoes all faded away
if I had stayed long enough to hear them
I would have heard what they'd say
They said don't, don't, don't
walk away
there are hopes to the sky and don't you dare wonder why
don't, don't don't
don't you forget to pray
there are millions of voices that will never voice thanks if you do
if you do
leave them behind
stupid, stupid, stupid
there were heroes in picture frames
whispering as you walked by
but you never asked them
no, never asked them why
they all cried
echoes followed you down the staircase
and they called to you walking away
but you never heard them
or heard what they said
there were hopes stacked high for you
and they tumbled down behind you
crying
don't, don't, don't
walk away
don't, don't, don't
forget to pray
there are millions of voices that will never voice thanks if you ...
leave them behind
but I was the decider
and stupid, that choice was mine

A Sad Poem: "Little Boy"
"Little Boy"
Little boy who dances
not the drummer from the song
This one stands tall, head high, all wrong
He never got a chance
Little boy who answers
pleads a favor of the strong
but this one fails, and breaks, all wrong
She never had the answer
It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?
Little boy who reaches
not so young this time around
asks for nothing but the impossible ground
to carry her feet
Little boy who understood
all the pain and the let downs
knowing the miles of ground
would never make her bleed
It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?
Her failing and breaking make it all wrong
And who can cross the distance
To save a boy without a chance?
It's a tragedy
But who's to blame
The dream giver or dreamer
or the one who ran away?
or the one who ran away?
Little boy who dances
not the drummer from the song
This one stands tall, head high, all wrong
He never got a chance
Little boy who answers
pleads a favor of the strong
but this one fails, and breaks, all wrong
She never had the answer
Only the dreamer
She was only the dreamer
Such a tragedy
And who's to blame?
The dream giver or the one
the one who ran away?
