Tu Me Manques

Upon a hill and beneath a tree
Your sword in hand and hair blown free
You're smiling face and sea blue eyes
Are a waiting home but I'm paralyzed
The hill is too far; the tree is gone
The place beneath the sky there is wrong
I am trapped in memories dressed as dreams
Why do nightmares dress in yesterday's seams?
Where is the hill and the old oak tree?
Where does your sword rest alone waiting?
You're smiling face and sea blue eyes
Are nowhere near and I'm paralyzed
The hill is lost and the tree is gone
You're missing from me and I'm alone
Tu me manques but still appear in dreams
Why do nightmares dress in yesterday's seams?
You're missing from me with your eyes like sea
Tu me manques mon amour, do you miss me?
I'm paralyzed and waiting...
...but this is all a dream

Pterodactyl

She's pretty, yes it's true
Her golden hair and sunkissed skin are now your muse
She's got those blue eyes
Like Caribbean seas
She's pretty, with ruby lips
I bet with her smile she could launch 1000 ships
I don't have blue eyes
To taunt or tease
I have dark eyes
My skin pale amidst the trees

I can't launch ships across the water
I won't make your blood run hotter
I'm not the damsel that you wanted or a princess in a castle
I'm the dragon in the turret like some ancient pterodactyl

She's pretty, yes it's true
This golden haired princess has become your muse
Beneath her blue eyes
You find your soul
She's pretty, voice so melodic
Unlike mine which chokes off words that are chaotic
I don't have blue eyes
To beg you please
I'll stare with dark eyes
From the branches of my trees

I can't launch ships across the water
I won't make your blood run hotter
I'm not the damsel that you wanted or a princess in a castle
I'm the dragon in the turret like some ancient pterodactyl
And I'll scare you away

From "Your Blue Eyes Meet My Brown"

Taken from the poem "Your Blue Eyes Meet My Brown"

You and I are of the same cloth
Your blue eyes meet my brown
the way the mountains reach
up towards the sky
I don't now words poetic enough for this

Read in the book "The Sky and Sea Are Lovers"

Frenzied Passion Dance

The lamp glows soft and casts light across
the bars of this golden headboard here
and soft beneath my knees this bed
spill me across these cotton sheets
this overwhelming lust for touch
and breath that heats my cheek
My palms are damp with seeking you
and nearly at the edge
your lips against my shoulders and
your teeth that graze my neck
those hands that grasp or hold me close
and eyes that do entrance
I can't seem to catch my breath here now
this frenzied passion dance
and feel that overwhelming strength
this journey in your hands
To turn around and touch your curls
all blonde that kiss your brows
and ache to feel your fingertips
undoing me there now
Your eyes enrapture pools of blue
and lips that steal my soul
my release I fly to heights for you
and together feeling whole
the time is short don't break the moment
and steal away until I find you again

Awed by the Sea

"Claimed by the Sea"

Perhaps if I grow fins and scales
And learn to sing songs of whales
I'd find below your shipwrecked soul
Saving you would be my greatest role
But without feet I'd be chained to the sea
Saving you would mean I'd not be free
To walk above with you on land
Or bask in the sun-drenched sand
Such a fate that would prove to be
No matter what claimed by the sea

"Awed By You"

Lately I don't know what else to think
Just on the edge of reason, on the brink
Would that I could settle us down
Build us a place I may have found
I'd do anything to keep that smile upon your face
Your olive skin, your sable hair and unkempt grace
I feel I am awed by all that you seem
May I applaud all that you dream?

Perhaps we can be just what I need?
Lately I don't know why my thoughts are far reached
Looking for moments, my heart's been breached
You've opened the doors to feeling
Leaving me breathless and reeling
I'd do anything to keep that look upon your face
Your blue eyes, your sable hair and unkempt grace
I feel I am awed by all the you can mean
May I applaud all that I have seen?
Please agree to be just what I need

Blue Storm Death of Us

"Storm of Us"

My stomach is wrestling with my heart
Some battle of gut wrenching feeling
An ache that surfaces
A sorrow that won't die
I know they say these things take time
I'm still trying to swim in a hurricane
Washing back to this bloody island
I don't want to be away from your ship
But you're destroying me
This storm of us will drown me
My heart sputters out fleeting moments of feeling
I can't stand this island or this storm
Damn your ship, I'm alone

"Blue Eyed Death"

Maybe you're my demon
to hold me down
Blue eyes and a sword
to cut me down
I always thought Savior when I saw you
Now I wonder why it all comes back to you
Are you gonna drown me
in the sea
the color of your eyes?
I would gladly stop breathing
in the sea
the color of your eyes
Just to see you again
Just to see you again
Such a fool I am
You must be my demon
to bury me down
Blue eyes and a sword
to flay me open now
I always thought you would rescue me
Now I think you've been killing me
Are you gonna drown me
in the sea
the colors of your eyes?
I would gladly stop breathing
in the sea
the colors of your eyes
Blue eyed death
Just to see you again

Won't See Me Dead

sit blowing smoke
cough, and choke
I see you wasting away
my iron fist inside this glove
wishes to push and shove
you right off your sofa

I saw the future once
Call me a freak with a psychic touch
I don't give a damn much
but this -
this was different, I know
his blue eyes told me so
but you don't care, I know, I know

so wrap yourself in a coma
high in a world of your mind
I will battle while you on the sofa
sit wrapped in smoke half blind
I will put on my armor
to fight for my future
what I saw I believe
even if you can't conceive
of such things

sit blowing smoke,
sitting there broke
wasting your days
but my inner resolution
is seeking a solution
to let all this go

But my anger is kindled
while your time you have swindled

Call me a freak with a psychic touch
I don't give a damn much
but this -
this was different, I know
his blue eyes told me so
but you don't care, I know, I know

so wrap yourself in a coma
high in a world of your mind
I will battle while you on the sofa
sit wrapped in smoke half blind
I will put on my armor
to fight for my future
what I saw I believe
even if you can't conceive
of such things
in my dreams

I can't deny
nor try
so I'll cry
yet one day, perhaps I'll see
sense made to me
I will not waste my determination
he was not a figment of my imagination
the future is a destination

so stay in a coma
high in your mind
sprawled on your sofa
because you're blind
I in my armor
eyes set ahead
know that my future
won't see me dead
won't see me dead
won't see me dead

It's All About Blue Eyes Here

"Twinkling Blue"

You give that wicked grin
and eyes a twinkling blue
I know you're thinking things
involving me and you
I want to stay and listen
to your laughter here
Capturing your happiness
caught inside your cheer

"Eyes of Blue"

sometimes I reach out to shadows when reaching in dreams
to catch you while lucid; moments unraveling their seams
they're fleeting and dodge me until I awake
to torments of daylight and moments of fake
I just want to see you
and your eyes of blue

"Your Blue Eyes Meet My Brown"

I'm trying to think of a poem
to explain the way sometimes
I feel you're apart of me
but there aren't words fluid enough
to express the notion that
you and I are of the same cloth
your blue eyes meet my brown
the way the mountains reach
up towards the sky
I don't know words poetic enough for this

Red, White and Blue

"RED"

it seems it comes down to red
red lips, red around a head
and red, red wings in a tree
red hair, red clothes
a red dress, and red goes
'round and 'round all about red
red heart, red love, red all above
and there's red in lips and love
red, red wings in a tree
and a red rose reminding me
it's all about the red
red lips, red around a head
red hair, red clothes
and a red bed
I see it's all about the red
red, red, red, red, and more red

"WHITE"

It's not that I dislike the golden skin
but you see what moves within
is the thought of white against my white sheets
It's the way the cream colors blend and I want
to just dive right in
because I'm in love with white skin
Like milk, like moonlight, like white cotton, too
and smooth like silk beneath my fingers
I like the white way of you
Your white skin, freckles and
the way you lack a tan
I adore the way your white skin looks on me

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

"BLUE"

Wherever I go I carry the thought of you
I recount the knowledge of your eyes of blue
Yet time whithers away the shade I can't recall
Each year passing I feel the memory get small
I know your eyes were the richest hue
Of a startling glorious shade of blue
But if a painter handed colors to blend into you
I could never quite recreate that shade of blue
Like lapis lazuli seas and stormy waters
So alluring and so captivating, too
But I can't quite explain that shade of blue
Only that it was a color I learned because of you
