The City Takes You Away

Profound was the moon when I was young and I wished for blue
blue, blue moon
Profound that north star
always bright for me it was
bright, bright star
Now the sky is different
and the lights are dimming here
too many glitters from the city
takes you away
away from me

Profound was the land when I was young
and I dreamed in greens
green, green trees
Profound was the mountains
stretching out in fantasies
so high, high mountains
But now the land is different
crowded little homes all dotted there
too many people from the city
takes you away
away from me

Got to battle the foes who come by
and take all the pains I must survive
no matter the wars in distant countries
you are the hero of my dreams
you've been the hero in my dreams

Profound was the moon when I was young
always dreamed of it in blue to wish upon
blue, blue moon
and it's all changed now
it's all changed now
blame the city now

Got to battle the foes who come my way
and take the wounds and keep on fighting
no matter the wars in distant countries
you are the hero for me
you are the hero for me
even though everything's changing
