Seems a shame it's gotten this way
where did we go wrong
where did we stray?
Who pulled out the punches
and fed them to us?
Who pushed us over the edge?
It's just not the same....
such a shame
Seems a sorrow we're not talking
why did you decide that I was mean?

bulletproof
i never was
shot in the dark
shot in the heart
i had trusted them
trusted them all....
so now i'm made of cardboard
shot with holes
i am sick and sorrowed
in worn out soles
my echo is fading
from ended cries
and i never could stop them
nor close these eyes
