i wish i knew
why my words have failed
and left this place
so barren now
for my silenced heart
has choked on air
that i nearly refused
these lungs

not weightless
nor free
but mindless in
madness
while now
losing me
one of my greatest fears is that i will one day lose the words that come to me.
